Terms and Conditions and Student Enrolment Policy

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”, “Terms of Use”) carefully before using the aplonline.com.au (the “Service”) operated Australian Professional Learning Online (“us”, “we”, or “our”).

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

Course Enrolment Agreement

  • By accepting these terms, the participant agrees to pay the course fees (including GST) for the course using the payment method selected on the enrolment form.
  • The participant accepts that payment is required in full even if the course remains incomplete.
  • Course enrolment is complete when the participant has been issued with a username and password and has paid for the course.
  • Duration of the course is from the date eLearning access/access to materials is granted.
  • Timeframe for confirming account for users: ‘If you create an account but fail to access or confirm the account, your account can be removed within 24 hours of creation for security reasons and to make way for other users.’
  • Course sign up and confirming account: ‘A user has 7 days to sign up for a course of their choosing. Otherwise, at the discretion of Australian Professional Learning Online the account may be removed, due to the limited spaces available on the learning hub.’
  • Inactive users: ‘Accounts that are inactive for extended periods of time (greater than 14 days) may be removed at the discretion of Australian Professional Learning Online’
  • From enrolment there is a 4-month period (120 days) in which to complete the course unless otherwise stated in the course material.
  • Coupon codes and special offers cannot be added to an enrolment retrospectively and must be added at the time of enrolment.
  • Course fees are non-transferrable to other students.
  • Participants are unable to graduate from their course until course fees have been paid in full and all work has been completed to a satisfactory level.

Australian Professional Learning Online Course Material

  • All course material and content remain the property of Australian Professional Learning Online. You may not reproduce, reprint or copy any part of course materials without prior written consent from Australian Professional Learning Online.
  • Supplied course material is available for viewing online and may not be downloaded unless otherwise noted on the work such as “bonus downloadable lesson plans”.
  • All course material is available through our learning management system which may on occasion be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.
  • All assessments must be submitted online via the course file system.
  • Elearning may be suspended after four (4) months of inactivity.
  • Extensions of this timeline may be considered upon written application (fees may apply).

Course Withdrawal and Refunds

Australian Professional Learning Online complies with Australian Consumer Law regarding refunds. We are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the course you enrolled to complete.

Where evidence can be successfully provided to support extenuating circumstances course fees may be refunded partially or fully if;

  • The enrolment is cancelled prior to the commencement of a course and resources have not been provided yet.
  • No refund will be provided after 7 days of the course commencement date.
  • No refund will be provided if work or assessment has been saved or submitted.
  • 50% refund is permitted if the enrolment is cancelled within 7 days of the course commencement date but only when Australian Professional Learning Online has been contacted in writing with legitimate reasoning as to why cancellation has occurred.

Course Transfer Policy

  • Course transfers are not permitted without written contact with legitimate reasoning as to why a course transfer is necessary.
  • Course transfers will only be permitted within 14 days of course commencement.
  • Course transfer fees apply and will be advised upon application.
  • If successful, the course transfer fee will be invoiced to the student and any outstanding balance will need to be paid in full.
  • Any current work will be lost if a transfer occurs.
  • Processing times for course transfers are up to 7 days once the request has been lodged.
  • Only one (1) transfer is available.

Student Obligations, Conduct and Behaviour

Without limitation, students must;

  • Behave in a courteous, fair minded and non-disruptive manner; and
  • Not engage in any conduct that is abusive, unreasonable, discriminatory or threatening or which amounts to harassment or stalking.
  • Not engage in plagiarism, students must ensure the work submitted is their own.

If Australian Professional Learning Online reasonably believes that any work submitted by the student is plagiarised, Australian Professional Learning Online reserves the right to;

  • Require the student to re-submit the relevant work.
  • Refuse to issue any certificate or;
  • If the plagiarism is excessive or repeated, cancel the student’s enrolment without penalty.

Limitation of Liability

The student agrees to the maximum extent lawfully permissible that if Australian Professional Learning Online breaches conditions or any applicable law, then the students remedy is limited to;

  • The re-supply of any course in which the student was enrolled; or
  • Refund of the course fees for any course which the student was enrolled.

Australian Professional Learning Online disclaims all liability for;

  • Any consequential or indirect loss and/or expense (including loss of profit) the student suffers or may suffer; and
  • Any unlawful or negligent conduct of Australian Professional Learning Online’s suppliers, agents or contractors.

Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Australian Professional Learning Online and its licensors.

By accepting these Conditions, the student acknowledges, agrees and warrants that they;

  • Understands that by signing these conditions and having its enrolment accepted, it is entering into a binding contract with Australian Professional Learning Online.
  • Have disclosed all relevant information in the course of applying for enrolment.
